Chess clubs with something on a Wednesday 7

Wednesday is the evening on which the club of Ampelokipoi plays its long-running open at the Chess Square clubroom, one round a week while an edition lasts. In Petroupoli, ASOP Dias sets Wednesday afternoon aside for rapid and blitz events with Swiss pairings and says they are open to all.

The rest of the day belongs to lessons. Neoi Vyronos runs three children’s groups one after another, for beginners, intermediate and advanced pupils; Peristeri has a beginners’ group; Panionios teaches its beginner children in one of two afternoon hours. Kallithea lists clubroom hours for the late afternoon, and the chess café announced by the club of Nea Filadelfeia covers Wednesday evening too. Lesson groups are for enrolled pupils, so the clubroom hours and the open events are the ones a visitor can count on.
